Lappset Group, a leading provider of play and fitness equipment, is planning to terminate most of its workers in Finland temporarily by the end of this year.

The authorities of the group on Tuesday announced that they had already started negotiations with the employees in this regard.

Lappset Group, which also has conceived the Angry Bird theme parks, has a total of 220 workers in Rovaniemi, Pello, and Helsinki and the authorities have initiated negations for terminating 200 workers, company sources said.

The president of the company, Juha Laakkonen, said the company had to take the decision to secure its future growth as it did not have much work orders in Finland at the moment.

The group has a total of 380 workers in eight different countries.
