Noted economist Björn Wahlroos on Saturday said that the next government should lower employment taxes for everyone.

"We must ensure that we do not lose our talented people to the rest of the world," Wahlroos said on Yle Ykkösaamu (Yle breakfast programme) on Saturday.

Wahlroos believes that Finland's cycle of debt has been far too hard on the economy, and that stimulus packages have no real effect in a globalized world. He is also sceptical on the results of development aid.

Wahlroos , the chairman of the board for the Sampo Group, UPM and Nordea fears that more paper mills in Finland will be shut down, and that all the planned investments in the forest industry may not occur.

Wahlroos also commented on the results of the British elections. According to him, future of Europe seems brighter with David Cameron as Britain's prime minister. "Cameron has earned his credibility, and his voice is heard in Brussels."
