Use of online slot machines and mobile gambling increased slightly in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, says Finland’s Slot Machine Association RAY.
An average of seven euros per adult Finn was spent during this quarter, up from 6.70 euros per Finn last year.
The amount spent on gambling varied greatly by region, though. The highest consumption of mobile and online gambling came from Kinnula in Central Finland, with about 23 euros per adult resident.
In total, RAY reported an average of 88 euros per adult resident across the country. The highest average came from Virolahti in Kymenlaakso, where nearly 174 euros per adult resident was spent on gambling.
