Finns prefer by far the use of cards and credit transfers to cash, shows the 2014 statistics compiled by the Bank of Finland.
In terms of volume, payments were most widely executed by cards, which were used more than 1.3 billion times in 2014, said the Bank of Finland.
In popularity terms, most popular payment was credit transfer.
According to the Bank of Finland, more than 2,300 billion euros worth of credit transfers were affected in 2014.The value of card payments was more than 42 billion.
Cash withdrawals at ATMs totalled 14 billion euros, and the average value of cash withdrawal at ATMs was just under 100 euros.
