The most bought type was Lingonberry which amounted to 8.8 million kilograms. Blueberry followed with a total of 7.6 million kilograms purchases. The blueberry purchase exceeded the previous record harvest of 2012 by nearly a million kilograms.
Less than 200,000 kilograms of other wild berries such as cloudberry, cranberry and crowberry were bought. Over half of the wild berries purchased in the country were exported.
This figure does not include the share of berries sold in markets and direct sale of berries to professional caterers and consumers by the pickers.
