The national postal corporation Posti has announced a 0.9 million euro operating loss after adjustments for the April-June quarter. Last year, the amount of loss in the corresponding period was 6.8 million euros.
The adjusted operating profit declined in Postal Services and Opus Capita. The operating result was burdened by special items, the greatest part of which consisted of personnel restructuring costs.
The operating result improved, however, from real estate sale transactions. The company’s loss before taxes was 4.2 million euros in the second quarter.
Net sales decreased to 385.9 million euros, while a year earlier it was 406.3 million. Comparable sales were down by 3.1 per cent from April to June.
