The United Nations Human Rights Council expressed concern over gender discrimination and the rate of violation against women in Finland.   Pointing out the difference between the salaries of men and women at the work places, the council in a report, released on Thursday, also criticized the state of women in the country.   The council recommended that the situation of the shelters for the victims of violence should be improved as presently a number of people are accommodated in adequate space at the Metsälä detention Centre in Helsinki.
