Criminal offences recorded by the police has shown slight increase in the country during the first quarter of the current year.
The police report released on Tuesday said that although minor criminal acts, drugs and traffic offences increased a little bit from January to April, the incident of major crimes including murder and assaults showed gradual decline.
The report said that the number of minor crimes reached to 2,75,000 which is one percent higher compared to the stipulated period of the previous year.
The crimes related to drugs increased by 300 in the first quarter of this year.
The national police commissioner, Mikko Paatero said that the police effort to curb the crimes related to people’s life and property has been successful, as proved by the crime record.
