The Keskusta (Centre Party) on Tuesday urged coalition government to bring significant difference in the economic policy admitting failure.

The party leaders at a parliamentary group meeting demanded that the government should support the small and medium size companies by relaxing taxation.

A parliament group leader of the party, Kimmo Tiilikainen pointed out their previous presentation of large social contract emphasising that his party took the issue seriously.

Tiilikainen was pleased that the Finland Bank chief, Erkki Liikainen, made a similar suggestion regarding the economic situation.

The party is convinced that some 200,000 new jobs are needed in this decade to keep Finland as the welfare state.
