Police on Sunday arrested two alleged bandits along with a stolen car in Korkeavuorenkatu of Helsinki when they were trying to flee after making an attempt to rob a jewellery shop.
The police said the accused were foreign nationals who tried to enter the shop in downtown Helsinki by breaking a rear window early Sunday.
The robbery attempt was, however, foiled by a metal net in the window. As the frustrated robbers tried to leave the scene, police chased and nabbed them.
The police said the car used by the robbers was also stolen.
The arrested were taken to a police station and the police have launched investigations into attempted robbery and theft.
