Another stabbed in Kuopio

A man was killed when miscreants attacked him at an apartment building at Valkeakoski area in Pirkanmaa early Monday night. He was 52.
Police arrested three persons in connection with the murder, although one of them has been freed after preliminary interrogation as police did not find his involvement in this regard, police said.
Pirkanmaa police said that the victim hailed from Hämeenlinna area and was killed in the house after midnight as a sequel to altercations among a group of people.
Police arrested an18-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, who were found drunk at Valkeakoski area, in connection with the murder. The altercations might have been created during drinking alcohol, said Pasi Nieminen of Pirkanmaa police.
The law enforcers also caught another 17-years old man but he was released later.
In another incident a man was injured critically when miscreants stabbed him with sharp knife in an apartment building in Kuopio late Sunday night.
The 46-year-old man sustained wounds at his backside and was taken to the hospital, police said.
The incident took place when six people including three other men and two women were bargaining over some issues and at a certain stage one of them attacked the victim, police added.
Other people who were present at the scene caught the criminal and handed him over to police.
The wounded was sent to hospital and police lodged an attempt to murder case in this regard.
