A middle-aged man was found dead in his apartment at Eno area in South Karelia on Friday. Police found marks of injuries in his body and said he might have succumbed to his wounds.

Two people who were found in the victim’s house were detained by the police in connection with the murder.

Police said the suspected men – both in their 50s and hailing from Eno – showed signs of  intoxication and were supposedly visitors at the victim's apartment.

The 51-year old victim lived alone in his apartment. The police are carrying out further investigations.

Meanwhile, a man who is a native of Rovaniemi suffered serious head injuries after he was hit by a weapon in an apartment in Raahe.

According to law enforcement sources, they received information on the incident on Friday morning and later the man was transported to Oulu for treatment but his condition was still  unknown.

The police detained several people from Raahe in connection with the incident.
