Finnish Customs on Saturday exposed a home that was being used as a major doping lab in Savo last autumn.
YLE reported on Saturday that custom officials impounded testosterone-making raw materials, doping tablets and ampoules for use by fitness enthusiasts at a private residence.
The estimated value of the doping haul is €200,000.
Reports established that the culprits had been able to sell the banned substances in Savo, Lahti, Oulu and the metropolitan area.
Hannu Sinkkonen, a senior customs official of the crime prevention unit, said: “Importing stuff from abroad illegally, preparing tablets in unsuitable laboratory conditions and still change substance to what the label actually reads.”
Two people thought to be close relatives were suspected to be behind the operation of the doping lab.
