President Sauli Niinistö and Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen will attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) scheduled to begin at Davos in Switzerland on Wednesday.
Niinistö will participate and address on competitiveness and innovation and will hold some bilateral meetings with his counterparts during the forum, news agency STT reported quoting sources of president’s office.

“I look forward to discussions on ways to promote economic growth, employment and growth entrepreneurship,” said Katainen, adding that Finland can offer a lot to these discussions and can also learn a great deal from other countries' experiences.
It was very good that young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship would be given a central role in the meeting, the prime minister said.
An invitation to attend the WEF's annual meeting in Davos has been sent to approximately one thousand global businesses leaders, political leaders from G20 countries, heads of international organisations, media representatives and experts from different areas.
