The survey, commissioned by Tahdon 2013 campaign and conducted by Taloustutkimus, interviewed 1,010 people of the country and revealed that 65% favoured change in legislation.
This reflects an increase in support for change of marriage legislation, as the previous poll conducted last autumn showed that 58% respondents favoured change.
In the latest poll, only 28% respondents opposed any change in marriage legislation, while 8% did not reveal their stance on the issue.
The poll indicated that support has grown across all age groups and uniformly throughout the country.
The amendment of marriage legislation received most support from young people between the ages of 15 and 24.
The majority of the respondents also supported the right of gay partners to adopt children. In the poll, 57% respondents supported the right for adoption, 36% opposed it, and 7% did not comment on the issue.
