Helsinki District Court has ruled that detained Helsinki Drug unit police chief Jari Aarnio will continue to remain behind bars.
Rejecting Aarnio’s bail plea, the court ordered the authorities to continue confiscating his materials until the end of May.
Investigators have also been granted extension by the court to carry out probe relating to the alleged leak of the source of police informant and the identity leak of an undercover police.
The court gave one-year extension in Aarnio’s case but did not grant additional time for investigations relating to the two other suspected policemen.
Aarnio is facing chargesfor committing 15 different crimes from 2008-2013.
