A 39-year-old man, suspected of the Kannonkoski town hall arson, has been sent to jail.
The Central Finland District Court ruled on Friday that the man be held behind bars, as he was the suspected arsonist.
Police sources said the man, arrested on Tuesday, has worked as an ambulance driver and a part- time fire-fighter in different parts of the country.
Kannonkoski town hall building burned down last weekend, with the severe fire damages meaning the building can no longer be used.
The man is also suspected of a series of arson acts including the fire at an under construction nursing home in January and also the fire that destroyed a grocery store in Karstula in the summer
of 2012, in which an elderly person living in the building had to be taken to hospital.
