The Central Bureau of Investigation suspects that a criminal gang is organizing narcotic activities, primarily amphetamines, in Oulu region.
 
The police discovered a kilo of amphetamine stash in Oulu back in November.
 
The police also suspects that large amount of amphetamines were sold last autumn in Oulu and its surrounding areas including Ylivieska region.
 
Ari Soronen, a senior investigative officer did not reveal the exact street value of narcotics but said that in just a few months they have nabbed drugs worth around 75,000 euros.
 
During the home search police have found a number of arms and more than 10 kilos of explosives as well as detonators and fuses.
 
The explosives were stored in an Oulu high-rise apartment which according to the police estimates could cause harm to several people.
 
The police arrested more than ten people during the investigations.
 
At the moment three people are behind the bars, two of whom are suspected of belonging to Oulu's criminal group United Brotherhood.
