Two hundred eighty eight accidents involving personal injury took place in road traffic in the month of February leaving 13 persons killed and 392 injured. 
 
According to preliminary data of Statistics Finland, the number of persons killed was seven higher and that of persons injured 50 higher than in February 2013.
 
Of the persons who were killed, 11 travelled by passenger car.
 
Pedestrians killed in road traffic accidents numbered one. In addition, one other road user was killed. Among those who died, ten were men and three were women.

A total of 631 road traffic accidents involving personal injury happened in the January to February period. In those, 27 persons were killed and 809 persons injured. 
 
The number of persons killed was two higher and that of persons injured 55 higher than in the corresponding period of 2013.
 
Of the persons who were killed, 21 travelled by passenger car and two by van. Pedestrians killed numbered three. In addition, one other road user was killed.
