Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) lawmaker Pertti “Veltto” Virtanen put up a rare exhibition of temper in parliament on Thursday after being denied floor.

Virtanen, who had been trying to get the floor or some time, made gestures with his hands to grab the speaker’s attention and vented despair towards fellow Finns Party lawmaker Anssi Joutsenlahti.

Finally, he threw a bunch of papers in the air in frustration which landed on his party chief Timo Soini.

Soini did not even glance back as Virtanen marched out of the hall. Before marching out the hall, Virtanen theatrically bowed to the speaker.

The Speaker’s Council said it would look into the incident next week.
