The incident took place in the late afternoon on Wednesday, according to the Iltasanomat.
The prisoner managed to kick Aarnio despite the latter being kept in isolation. Aarnio’s injuries were treated in the prison facility’s own hospital unit.
There is no information how the prisoner managed to attack Aarnio despite him being placed in isolation.
Aarnio has been in detention since November in suspicion of nearly 30 counts of criminal acts. Aarnio continue to maintain his innocence.
