The council downed a motion to discontinue with the proposal to dismiss the mayor 23-3. The motion aiming to stop the plan to dismiss the mayor was led by Inkeri Yritys, chair of the Kittilä Municipal Council.
The council concluded that the temporary committee looking into the dismissal may continue with its work. The committee has already stated that the mayor cannot continue in office due to a lack of confidence.
