The two-hour protest ended at 3 pm, said the police.
All went peacefully, although it was a little bit noisy, remarked the Helsinki police.
The police said the protest was not very organised and the word had spread mainly through the social media.
Another demonstration was organised in the afternoon in which Kurds numbering around a hundred took to the parliament building and afterwards led a procession to Kamppi market.
The Kurds were protesting against the extremist organisation’s reign of terror in the Syrian border town of Kobane.
