Eminent Publisher Silja Hiidenheimo passed away on Thursday at her home in Helsinki
Hiidenheimo died from a rapidly progressing illness at the age of 53.
She was one of the founders of the Independent Publishing House Teos in 2003.
Hiidenheimo was held in high esteem by writers and the whole entire book industry.
“Silja was a great lover of literature. Her wisdom, ethics and instincts were unequalled. A unique life’s work,” said Jussi Kaisjoki, head of publicity at Teos.
