Three in four Finns are of the opinion that rules, regulations and guidelines are to an extent excessive in view of the needs, found a recent survey conducted by the Foundation for Municipal Development.
About half of the respondents, or 47 per cent of the Finns, are of the view that different rules, regulations and guidelines of the society limit their lives “too much” or “somehow too much”.
The majority view that the restrictions limit them in their occupations and construction as well as in doing renovations.
About half of the respondents also believe manufacturing and sale of alcoholic beverages are too much regulated.
The survey was conducted by TNS Gallup in December.
