A member of the Night Wolves motorcycle group, who was arrested in Germany, was been sent back to Finland on Tuesday to be deported to his home country Russia.

The Finnish Border Guard did not divulge detail and time of the man’s arrival in Finland and whether he arrived alone.

"For us it is sufficient to know that his visa had been cancelled. We will handle as the responsible authority for his deportation out of the country," said Head of the Border Checks, Jaakko Ritola.

The Russian man boarded a ship at Helsinki on Saturday heading to the German harbour of Travemünde. He was expected to arrive at Travemünde on Sunday.

He was arrested in the ferry and was later freed, but was not granted permit to stay in Germany.

The Night Wolves member’s intention was to go to Berlin to celebrate capitulation of Nazi Germany. The bikers left Moscow more than one week ago.
