Fri, 29 May, 2015 02:05:15 AM FTimes- STT Report, May 29  File Photo Lehtikuva. Pro Hanhikivi, the association against the construction of a nuclear power plant in Pyhäjoki on Thursday submitted a complaint against an environment permit issued to Fennovoima.
The association lodged the complaint to the Administrative Court of Northern Finland regarding the permit which paves way for clearing approximately 100 hectares before the permit enters into force.
According to the association, permits which pose significant modification to the environment should not be granted before Fennovoima fulfils the terms laid down for the granting of licence to construct a nuclear power plant.
Fennovoima will submit the application for the construction of the nuclear power plant at the end of June.
The association called the court to annul the decisions of the municipality of Pyhäjoki and the town of Raahe as well as to reject the granted environmental permits.
