The District Court of Satakunta on Monday heard the mother of the victim during the trial of the murder of a 17-year-old girl in Pori.

The girl’s mother described her daughter as kind and conscientious.

The day when the girl went missing began as an ordinary. However, the girl who had left house for jogging that morning no longer answered telephone calls when her mother called her.

The 25-year-old former boyfriend of the murdered girl is alleged to have forced the girl into a car, assaulted the girl leaving her unconscious. He then drove to Kokemäki.

The victim was later found dead in a torched building. The accused man has denied killing the girl.

The forensic examination report pointed out that the girl was murdered.

The accused told the court that he came to know the girl through a friend.

After the end of their relationship, the man drove to Pori to meet the girl and ask her back, but the girl did not consent to the man’s wish.

The girl went inside the car by choice and despite appeals she refused to step out of the car, said the accused.

The accused said he went outside the building holding a petrol can and match and threatened to commit suicide. In the ensuing struggle, the man reportedly lost consciousness and woke up to the fact that the building had been razed.

The accused reportedly tried to save the girl but without success.
