A 1978 born father and his daughter born in 2010 died in a house fire in Kuortane, Southern Ostrobothnia on Tuesday night or early Wednesday, said the police.
The rescue department was notified at 8 am on Wednesday. A person notified the local fire brigade after realising the inside of the building was filled with soot.
The outside of the wooden house was in good condition. The fire extinguished itself before the arrival of the rescue services.
The cause of the fire and the death of the father and daughter are yet to be ascertained. The police are investigating the incident.
