Limnéll also pointed out that companies, the state and the citizens have not protected themselves sufficiently from cyber threats. However, he is pleased at the fact that digital safety skills have already become civic education.
“We are dependent on technology. We also need to reckon that technology deceives and digitalisation is not working,” he said.

Raimo Luoma of the National Emergency Supply Agency said companies’ preparedness for cyber threat varies greatly.
“There are big companies in Finland whose understanding of cyber security is amazingly primitive. Other companies’ preparedness is world class,” Luoma remarked.
Luoma and Limnéll were speaking on cyber security at the Saimaa Summit economic forum.
