An elderly asylum seeker died at the Helsinki reception centre on Thursday. The news was announced by the city of Helsinki in a statement on Friday.
Police do not suspect any criminal activity behind the death.
The person was suffering from multiple complications, and according to the statement, refused to eat from time to time.
The Helsinki city reception centre provided the person with medical services.
