SPR has urged the police to expand its efforts in protecting the centres. Red Cross Director of International Operations Kalle Löövi, who is responsible for the security of aid operations, also spoke about the matter.
According to Löövi, the threat was not a criminal violation, but any direct threats of violence are reported to the police. According to Löövi, threats are occasionally levied at the Finnish Red Cross.
