The main opposition Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland-SDP) is still the most popular party in the country with 21.5 percent of voters’ support, ac-cording to a survey commissioned by national broadcaster Yle.
 
However, the ruling Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party) has narrowed down the gap with SDP with 20.9 percent support.
 
The popularity of the third most popular party Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party) also took a dip and lies at 17.3 percent.
 
Vihreä liitto (Green League) improved its gain and currently sits at fourth place with 12.3 percent of the voters support.
 
The Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) half a year long slide seemed to have stopped. The party currently enjoys 9.8 percent of the support.
 
The Vasemmistoliitto (Left Alliance) popularity also rose and is now at 8.6 percent.
 
According to the Taloustutkimus conducted poll in comparison to the December polls, the three major parties, SDP, Keskusta and Kokoomus lost support.
 
Taloustutkimus interviewed almost 3,000 persons in January and the margin of error was around +/-1.4 percent.
