Prime Minister Juha Sipilä and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday held a telephone conversation and discussed the border issue.
The conversation was a continuation of the discussion held in St Petersburg on January 29 between the prime ministers of these two neighbouring countries.
They discussed the situation at the eastern border and measures to prevent illegal immigration, Prime Minister’s Office sources said.
The two leaders agreed that handling of the matter should be continued in the near future both at political and official level.
There was, however, no briefing on any concrete decision.
