Russian opposition politician Vasily Popov may be extradited to Russia, said the Supreme Court in a statement on Thursday. Popov is suspected of fraud in Russia.
 
According to court documents, Popov is suspected of acting in concert with other persons, in an organised crime group, and of using another's name to underbid and get a contract for a Petrozavodsk city district school food combine. 
 
According to the documents, he caused more than 42,700,000 rubles in damage to the city district.
