The South Savo District Court sentenced a man for having sexual intercourse with an 11-year-old girl twice in 2012.
The 23-year-old resident of Riihimäki was sentenced to three years and two months in prison for aggravated child sexual abuse. Furthermore, he was ordered to pay the victim 8,000 euros in compensation.
The offence was committed at a private residence. The man and the victim knew each other.
The court handled the case behind closed doors but released a short public report.
According to the report, the trial included written medical reports, a psychologist’s statement, a blog post, and printouts from a website.
