A group of thieves blew up an ATM machine installed in a commercial building at Haarajoki in Järvenpää early Sunday morning.
The police said the ATM machine was completely destroyed but the thieves did not get away with any money.
An employee of K-market store Helge Salmenaho said the explosion caused hundreds or thousands of euros in damage.
“The roofing sheet bulged 20 to 30 centimetres outwards, the walls bulged and the partitioning walls were damaged,” Salmenaho said.
According to Salmenaho, the shop is closed until it is safe to open again.
Investigation is going on in this regard, said the police.
