The killing took place shortly after midnight at an apartment located at Voudinkatu in Kaarina.

The police said the victim was a native of Kaarina born in 1984. According to the police, the killing was committed brutally.

Police detained two men in Turku on Thursday in suspicion of the murder. There were a number of people inside the apartment at the time of the murder, said police.

Lead investigator Ari-Pekka Lehtinen said that there were other people who were held, however, not all are suspects in the murder case.

“The arrests have been made to safeguard the preliminary investigations,” said Lehtinen.

The suspects are to be produced before the court for remand hearing on Friday.
