Half of the aid will be used for clearing landmines in Iraq and Syria.
The grant, which will be disbursed over several years, will also be used to support reconstruction of areas liberated from ISIS and in humanitarian aid.
“Through this support, Finland is contributing to the fact that those Iraqi people returning to their homes have the opportunity to build a future there. The spirals of bitterness and violence must be rooted from the ground up,” said Foreign Trade and Development Minister Kai Mykkänen.
Donor countries to Iraq met on Wednesday in Washington in a coalition against ISIS in the context of the Ministerial Conference.
