The world popular game uses the location data, photo and compass capabilities of mobile gadgets.
The Defence Forces published last week restrictive guidelines for apps that feature virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR).
Additional rules for Pokemon Go were considered necessary due to its wide popularity in Finland.
There have been restrictions prohibiting taking snapshots or videos of military installations as well.
Conscripts are allowed to use their mobile handsets while serving in the military. They can either maintain their civilian subscription numbers or use prepaid cards.
