A middle-aged Jyvaskylä resident drowned near the shore of Muuratsalo on Tuesday morning after a boat capsized.
According to preliminary information received by police, two men left early in the morning to fish from Säynätsalo, Lehtisaari in a row boat.
The boat capsized about 200 meters from the shore and the two men were dumped in the water.
One of the men was rescued from the water, but the second man was found drowned nearby.
