The Finnish companies Mehiläinen and Mediverkko have agreed to merge subject to approval from the regulatory authorities by the end of January next year.In a press release, Mehiläinen said the board of Mediverkko and its main shareholders have agreed a combination agreement with the owners of Mehiläinen. The current Mediverkko management and original founders will become new owners at the combined entity, together with the KKR and Triton managed funds and existing Mehiläinen management, said the release. ![]()

Mehiläinen said the agreement will have no impact on existing customer or employment contracts at both firms.The new CEO of the company will be Janne-Olli Järvenpää, co-founder and CEO of Mediverkko. Mediverkko has been an innovative growth firm in public-pay healthcare and social services delivery. “The merger strengthens and expedites implementation of Mehiläinen’s strategy, because Mediverkko complements Mehiläinen’s services and network.
