Millions of euros in tax refunds in the country have remained unclaimed, reported the Finnish daily Turun Sanomat.
The Tax Administration told the newspaper that about 2 million euros in tax refunds from the year 2013 has remained unclaimed.
The figure, according to the report, has been rising for at least four years.
In case the tax authorities do not get in touch with the taxpayer, the refund is reverted to the state and the municipality.
The taxpayer, however, has five years to claim the refund.
