The Nordea bank authorities on Monday said some of the bank’s customers have come across scam customer surveys and online sweepstakes bearing the bank’s name.
The purposes of the scams are to steal customers’ personal, banking and credit card information.
The surveys asked, for example, a few questions in exchange for a prize.
According to Nordea, the surveys were not made or sanctioned by the bank and customers should not answer them.
The surveys and sweepstakes appear if the client’s computer has malicious software installed, which adds the offers to websites.
According to Nordea, the best way to get rid of the malware is to reinstall the web browser.
In addition, anti-virus software should be installed and in use, and a firewall should be turned on at all times when using the Internet.
