The majority of Finns either support or are willing to put up with most of the governments budgets. This is evident from the poll commissioned by the Municipal Development Foundation.
One exception was on the reduction of student support, in which over half of those questioned were either in favour of the cuts or willing to tolerate them.
The majority of respondents (79 per cent) showed that they would approve of cutting business subsidies, and 77 per cent approved of the health and social services payment increases.
According to the study, it showed that the government party supporters accepted more easily the saving measures than the supporters of opposition parties did.
The survey which was conducted by TNS Gallup interviewed more than 1,000 people in early June.
