Telecom operator Elisa's performance has remained unchanged in July to September compared to the corresponding period of last year, company sources said.
The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Veli-Matti Mattila said in a statement on Friday that the increasing demand for mobile data and improved operational productivity has kept Elisa competitive despite the weak economic situation in Finland.
Mattila estimated that the economy in Finland will remain weak for the rest of the year. He estimated that Elisa's annual net sales will be at the same level or slightly improved from last year.
The company's profits before taxes during July to September totaled euro 83 million, similar to the corresponding period of last year.
The company's net sales during the period improved slightly this year, up by euro 10 million from last year’s euro 394 million.
