Employment was 11,485 staff years. Both value added and employment grew slightly compared to the two previous years, according to Statistics Finland's renewed data on the environmental goods and services sector.
The main industries of the environmental goods and services sector are water supply, sewerage, waste management and materials recovery, remediation activities and other waste management services.
The 2014 statistics only contain the main industries of the environmental goods and services sector, but starting from the statistical reference year 2015 the statistics will cover 21 industries.
