The national postal and logistic service Posti is planning to expand its services to homecare.
Such services may include watering of flowers and guarding of customers’ homes and cottages, Posti Home Services Director Petri Kokkonen told the news agency STT.
Starting this spring, Posti has been offering grass-cutting services.
Posti has been collaborating with Securitas in Muhos and Ylivieska, while some mail carriers have been receiving security training.
Posti is also offering home services in South Karelia social and healthcare (sote) area. Posti workers may, for instance, take an elderly person out for a walk.
Kokkonen said Posti will continue with developing the services and will possibly offer more services this year.
