Output of total industries adjusted for working days went up by 4.3 per cent year-on-year in June 2016, according to Statistics Finland.
In the January to June period, the industrial output adjusted for working days went up by 1.1 per cent from one year ago.
Seasonally adjusted output grew in June by 1.5 per cent compared with the previous month, the data show.
In May, the seasonally adjusted output went down by 0.1 per cent, but in April, it increased by 2.4 per cent from the previous month.

Among the main industries, the output grew most in mining and quarrying, by 194.3 per cent. The growth came mostly from peat production, which was accelerated by favourable weather conditions in June.
The output in the metal industry was 6.5 per cent up on twelve months back.
In the food industry, output grew by 5.7 per cent in June. The output in the forest industry fell by 1.6 per cent.

In June, capacity utilisation rate in manufacturing (C) was 83.0 per cent, or 1.9 percentage points higher than one year earlier. In the forest industry, it was 84.2 per cent in June, or 1.2 percentage points lower than in June 2015 as per the statistics.
In the metal industry, the capacity utilisation rate was 86.2 per cent in June, which was 2.3 percentage points higher than one year earlier.
