The worst interference which manifested on Friday night affected hundreds of base stations. The connection was poor for some, while for some subscribers there was no connection at all.
The repair work was mostly completed by Saturday morning, Timo Saxen of Sonera communications department told news agency STT.
According to Saxen, the coverage problems should not manifest on Sunday.
The disruption was exceptionally large. Saxen pointed out that emergency calls in such situations should go through because the concerned operator uses another's operator's network.
